I’ve been here for almost 2 years. It’s a good first job but you gotta be able to handle stress. I’m a CT/Barista & you will have to work with and serve the worst people in the entire planet. Sometimes it’s a good shift but do not stay here for the long run. Hustle & leave once you’re financially stable. BUT rostering is good. Flexible for teenagers.

Working at McDonald’s is what everyone would expect it to be like. Good for a first time job but staying there for a long time will drive you crazy. Customers are rude and entitled and the management micro manages. Would not recommend this job, The stress especially when understaffed is traumatic. It has a high turnover rate for a reason.

Overall it’s ok lots of people call in sick so the managers will ask you to stay on (you can reject) pretty much paid at minimum wage but get a few cents pay rise after 6 and 12 months.

Management was cool a little lazy at time however loved working there because of the team, easy to remember how the food gets made , sometimes more work than what min wage is.

The only good reason for working here is that the people (except for some managers) don't get paid enough compared to other minimum wage jobs such as supermarkets.

If you put in the effort and want to achieve those goals maccas has some of the best training available.
You can choose your agreed minimum hours you work a week so you have that job/income security. They're also flexible around study and other commitments.

Great place to start your career as they have their own courses which you can do. Good career development and self development opportunities. Collaborative coworkers and amazing benefits by company.

Manageable hours and discounts.

Good place to work in. Management for the most part was good, nice atmosphere. However it got extremely busy & hectic during rush hours. Pay was great considering I was under 16.

Work is pretty much what youd expect for a fast food store except at mcdonalds the managers seem to be a lot more demanding and a lot less patient. 0 Incentive to work longer hours and started to wear on my health.

Half price meal although should have been free

Breaks often feel too sparse, harmful environment if working in small area

Toxic workplace, terrible managers, awful hours. Remember “you are replaceable” therefore don’t expect any respect from them. If you raise concerns it’ll go over their heads. Your safety is far from a priority. Managers there have a very “I’m better than all of you” attitude towards crew members. Seems most managers don’t know how to manage anything and create a stressful environment for nothing. No stability in your position you will be moved around constantly for absolutely no reason. Have posters promoting that they care for their staffs mental health yet when you express your struggles and needing to cut hours down to contracted hours their response is “you were not hired for these hours.” False threats thrown at you such as getting a “written warning” for calling in sick. I wouldn’t waste your time getting yourself into a job that is as draining as this.

Worked part time. They are willing to work around your schedule. Managers are generally approachable. They are willing to help you learn. They recognize and appreciative of extra effort by the employee.

Food discount. Free uniform

Linwood mcdonald's was toxic to work at. I had no other problems with mcdonald's except they pay close to minimum wage and hours offered are minimal. Half the staff would ignore me if I said hi, I got bossed around by one girl who wasn't a manager and had a crew trainer who never trained anyone but just barked orders at me and couldn't process that there's only so much one person can do at a time

Some good overtime at times

A very nice Mcdonalds, you know what you are going to get with the food, it may not be great food but it is cheap. It can be noisy and busy at times but if you get in at the right time you will get what you want.

McDonalds help me grow as an individual and allowed to me to come out of my comfort zone and communicate with people. Most enjoyable part is when we're busy it pushes me to get the job done and work faster.

the environment there is cut throat. if youre new to the job there, theyll cut you some slack but eventually they (staff managers) will just have no care with words and tell you bluntly that your wasting their time.

McDonalds is okay if its your first job or if you're a student that needs flexibility but its not a job you want to do in the long run, the pay is below average too.
