Carl Reiner was the "straight man" of what became an immortal character comedy bit: "The 2000 Year Old Man," with Mel Brooks.

  • Steve Martin's debut film is also one of the funniest, sweetest comedies of all time.

  • Many people don't realize that the celebrated comic actor actually wrote some of the funny movies in which he starred.

While I impatiently await Ted Lasso‘s return, I’m getting my Jason Sudeikis fix by watching his lesser-known films like Tumbledown. The 2015 indie rom-com from husband and wife Sean Mewshaw and Desiree Van Til follows Hannah (Rebecca Hall), the grieving widow of folk singer Hunter Miles. When Hofstra professor Andrew McCabe (Sudeikis) rolls into Hannah’s small Maine town in hopes of writing a book about her late husband, she angrily turns him away. But after struggling to tell Hunter’s story herself, she enlists McCabe’s expertise to help her pen his biography. Fans of Before Sunrise will find comfort in Tumbledown‘s appreciation of simple, yet profoundly deep, character connections. Though the film has its lighter moments, much like Ted Lasso, it shows a softer, more thoughtful side to Sudeikis. We spend most of our time with him and Hall, but a delightful supporting cast includes Dianna Agron, Joe Manganiello, Griffin Dunne, and Blythe Danner. While the film’s ending feels a bit cliché and rushed, Tumbledown remains a touching tale of love, loss, and letting yourself move forward.

After discovering he's not really black like the rest of his family, likable dimwit Navin Johnson runs off on a hilarious misadventure in this comedy classic that takes him from rags to riches and back to rags again. The slaphappy jerk strikes it rich, but life in the fast lane isn't all it's cracked up to be and, in the end, all that really matters to Johnson is his true love.

The Jerk is currently not on Netflix. Movies and series tend to come and go quite a lot in the streaming service unless they're Netflix originals. A Netflix account starts from $9.99 and gives you full access to their library with ad-free viewing.

The Jerk isn't available to watch on Hulu. However, prices for this streaming service currently start at $6.99 per month, or $69.99 for the whole year. For the ad-free version, it's $12.99 per month, $64.99 per month for Hulu + Live TV, or $70.99 for the ad-free Hulu + Live TV.

No sign of The Jerk on Disney+, which is proof that the House of Mouse doesn't have its hands on every franchise! Home to the likes of 'Star Wars', 'Marvel', 'Pixar', National Geographic', ESPN, STAR and so much more, Disney+ is available at the annual membership fee of $79.99, or the monthly cost of $7.99. If you're a fan of even one of these brands, then signing up to Disney+ is definitely worth it, and there aren't any ads, either.

You won't find The Jerk on HBO Max. But if you're still interested in the service, it's $14.99 per month, which gives you full access to the entire vault, and is also ad-free, or $9.99 per month with ads. However, the annual versions for both are cheaper, with the ad-free plan at $150 and the ad-supported plan at $100.

As of now, The Jerk is not available to watch for free on Amazon Prime Video. You can still buy or rent other movies through their service.

The Jerk is not available to watch on Peacock at the time of writing. Peacock offers a subscription costing $4.99 a month or $49.99 per year for a premium account. As their namesake, the streaming platform is free with content out in the open, however, limited.

The Jerk is not on Paramount Plus also. Paramount Plus has two subscription options: the basic version ad-supported Paramount+ Essential service costs $4.99 per month, and an ad-free premium plan for $9.99 per month.

The Jerk isn't on Apple TV+ at the moment, sorry! In the meantime, you can watch top-rated shows like Ted Lasso on Apple TV with a subscription cost of $4.99 a month.

Nope. The Jerk is not currently available to watch for free on Virgin TV Go. There are plenty of other shows and movies on the platform which may interest you!
