Why did Purple Guy murder kids?

William Afton has at least killed 6 children but it was actually mentioned that he killed 5 children. The reason Purple Guy or William Afton killed the 5 children is still unknown; Scott Cawthon has made no pronouncements on why William Afton killed the children in FNAF, however it appears to be most likely out of stress over the loss of a child, or as a residual experiment. 

The five children's and other victims' ghosts may have possessed the animatronics, causing their grotesque and violent behaviour, according to Scott Cawthon's indication of paranormal activity within the pizzeria. Gabriel (Freddy), Jeremy (Bonnie), Susie (Chica), Fritz (Foxy), and Cassidy are some of the children's names ( Golden Freddy) The names of the other youngsters have not yet been revealed. 

Michael Afton is known as the Purple Guy because he was scooped and his flesh began to deteriorate and turn purple.

Michael is led to the scooper room by Ennard/Circus Baby on Night 5, the last day of his week's shifts. The animatronics are broken in the scooper chamber. The thing started up as soon as Michael came into the scooper chamber. Michael is scooped once Ennard (the animatronic) finishes speaking.

In the Five Nights series, William Afton is portrayed as the "Purple Guy," a strange purple figure. He is portrayed driving up to the outside of a pizzeria and killing a child outside of the establishment in the Take Cake to the Children minigame.

Finally, he used cake and a Yellow Suit to entice five children into the backroom and murder them, as seen in Foxy GO GO GO. They eventually get their hands on the Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and Golden Freddy costumes. To preserve their souls, the Puppet would give them life in animatronic outfits. It's unclear if the youngsters were crammed into suits by William or the Puppet.

Why Does William Afton Kill?

William Afton kills because the objective was to simply murder them. He believed he could get away with it. He only escaped from prison to get Freddy FazBear pizza. He killed himself in the process of destroying the animatronics.

Though the cause for Afton's murder of the children is never revealed, the book provides a closer look at William's character and possible motives.

Twisted ones, The Silver Eyes, and The Fourth Closet are the titles of the novels that hint at the motives for his actions. They believe he killed the children in order to achieve immortality. In some ways, the novels imply that he did it as a power play to leave his mark on the world and the lives of others. He was also rumoured to be competing with Henry for some degree of notoriety.

Others claim he went insane after his children, CC and Elizabeth, perished, leading to the children's murder spree. Since the deaths of Chris and Elizabeth Afton, William has clearly lost the plot. When they went dancing, he pulled a knife on his wife.

Why Does William Afton Hate Michael?

It is not canon that William despises Micheal, and it is also not canon that William was abused by his father. Micheal went purple as a result of Ennard scooping him, which caused Micheal to rot/ and turn purple after Ennard abandoned Micheal's body in the sewers.

Michael's skin turns purple because of the routine on the scooper, which causes Michael's skin to turn purple. William doesn't hate Michael; he just doesn't know how to express his feelings for him. William was abused by his father when he was small, and he wants everybody to share his misery.

Now every fnaf fan knows the purple guy probably murdered the children in the suits,but if he did then why did he do it?

Now everybody knows the bite of 87 shut down Freddy fazbear's pizza,and who caused that?Well you could say golden fredbear,but a kid was the one who got bitten.Purple guy was probably a millionaire because of how popular the Freddy's restaurants were.So naturally being angry about losing millions he wanted to take it out on somebody mainly the person or people in this case who caused this anger,children.So the purple guy went and killed a couple of children(possibly the kids who threw the other kid),and then hid the bodies.Eventually though,the anger of the children that made him lose millions and the guilt of killing those innocent children turned him insane.Upon becoming insane he went on a killing spree murdering even more children becoming more guilty and insane.But upon becoming more insane he wanted to open up the restaurants again so he went and stole some of the suits.The only thing he didn't know was who to stuff inside the suits.Then he remembered all the kid corpses he had,so he went and got the corpses and stuffed them in the suits.So everything was good,and purple guy acted like he had the restaurants again.But one night he hard something,so he checked it out,and saw the animatronics moving.Being confused and terrified he ran away,and went missing for years.One day though,he heard the location that was fnaf 3 was being re-opened,but in knowing about the secret of the animatronics he came back and tried to save them.Now this explains the mini games at the end of every night.He was trying to free the spirits,but the spirits were angry like him and took it out on him.This also explains why he burned down the pizzeria in fnaf 3,to save people from the animatronics.So I leave you with this despite killing the kids is purple guy actually a hero?

Hello, hello reader! Welcome to my second theory! What will we be discussing today? The winner of the poll, of course!

Ok, so why DOES Purple Guy, aka Michael Afton, kill kids? Well, I'm about to tell you the first thing we need to adress, and please hang with me when I tell you this...

Ennard is Purple Guy.

"WHAT? Have you gone mad, Rainy?? Also, how do you know his name is Michael?"

No, reader. Let me explain ;)

In Sister Location, our character, Michael Afton, gets scooped and Ennard uses his body to go to the surface and "hide." And no, I don't just say this cause he has purple eyes.

"Purple eyes..?"

Yes! Lookie here!

Also, I know his name because he says it in the ending sister location cutscene:

Back to the point, we see purple guy walking down the road. Then... well, he throws up Ennard..

And we know Ennard is inside our protagonist.. so..... yep!

Everyone on the same page? Good. Lets continue!

"So Ennard is inside Purple Guy, yeah yeah. But Rainy, why does he kill kids?"

Good question! This stumped me for a while.. but then I finally found the simple solution..

It's what he is programmed to do.

The Sister Location Animatronics are, as we know, MADE to kill kids! Take a look at this!:

"Woah.. do those say what I think they say?"

Yes, reader. I'm afraid so. Emergency stop.. Collision sensor.. Voice Mimic.. Storage Tank.. Parental Voice Sync and Replay.. it all adds up. And look closer at Freddy's belly. Uh huh.. that's a KID.

"Woah! Why would William make them like this?"

Not sure.. that's for another day, reader! So Ennard kills kids because of his programming.. and lures them because they are programmed to lure them away to kill them so they are not caught. But were not done yet NOPE! There's one more question we need to answer.. why is he so scared of the spirits?

Because.. remember when we said Purple Guy threw up Ennard? Well that happened in between the dismantling and the death! Michael goes there and sees the spirits.. but Ennard had been controlling him when he killed them. He's scared because he doesn't know what's going on!
